Yesterday we had a very successful workshop for LIXON Library at BIG BOW English Lab. Eighteen teachers and school owners came to learn about extensive reading and library management in an Eikaiwa school. After I gave a presentation about extensive reading current research and effective ER methods, we did some shared reading activities and talked about our experiences with getting young learners to read extensively. I really loved hearing the stories from the LIXON Library subscribers about how the system was working for them. It was a great day and I hope to have another event just like this one sometime later in the year. Thanks to everyone who attended!
